Wooden Galaxy is a wider, flatter and lower version of the Wooden Sphere - identically beautiful and simple. Display your jewelry in this irresistibly wooden storage vessel. The Wooden Galaxy is available in solid oak or black painted hardwood. This beautiful accessory is made of two hand-turned wooden bowls that form an Asian / Japanese inspired sphere. Use the Wooden Galaxy as a decorative storage container or choose to use the lid as a separate bowl.
The Wooden Galaxy's are one of the best selling accessories from Kristina Dam Design Studio. Danish licorice-maker Johan Bülow used Kristina Dam's wooden spheres and wooden galaxy's as displaying units when showcasing new assortments.

Care Instructions:
Wood is a living material changing imperceptibly over time and reacts to sunlight, humidity, temperature and can vary slightly in grain pattern and coloration. The oak version is treated with oil. If the surface of the oak wood dries out you might be able to restore its original glow by applying new linseed/flaxseed oil to the product. Follow the instruction label of the oil carefully and consult a professional before starting. The grains of the oak version might raise when it comes in contact with water. Use fine sandpaper to smoothen the surface if needed.
The black version is lacquered making it able to withstand dirt and grease to some degree. When cleaning the products use only a damp cloth and dry immediately with a soft cloth to prevent water marks and stains. Decoration use only.
